Glacier National Park, MT

Glacier National Park is one of our favorite places to go in the United States.  Our favorite place to stay is at Apgar Village along Lake McDonald.  This year we explored familiar territories along Going to the Sun Road, Many Glacier beside Swiftcurrent Lake and of course, Lake McDonald.  We also explored some new-to-us areas along the western side of the park including the little settlement of Polebridge (which is a great place to get coffee with a baked item and some very friendly conversation as well as opinions on the best sights to see), Bowman Lake and Kintla Lake.  (A word of advice:  Don't try to go to Kintla Lake if you have a low clearance vehicle.  The road is narrow and unpaved.)  The pictures included do not nearly give you an overview of the park.  Since we have visited the park several times, if the lighting wasn't right or there was a crowd of people at a site, we did not try to take pictures.  Perhaps one day I will add another series of pictures which I have taken at Glacier previously.  For now, take a look and see if you aren't tempted to visit Glacier on your own.
